Chow’s Homecoming

You probably know by now that Norm Chow was a coach at BYU (USC’s opponent this week) for many years, guiding their offense under head coach LaVell Edwards.

What you may not know, is that Norm stayed at BYU all those years, despite having numerous chances to jump to bigger, higher-profile jobs, because BYU

promised him a head coaching spot when Edwards retired, only to go back on their promise once Edwards called it a career.

Now, Norm gets to come back to face the school that broke their promise to him. If revenge is a dish best served cold, let’s just call the Trojan offense

“Team Arctic.”

On an upnote for BYU, they’ll get plenty of time to get reacquainted with their old offensive coordinator’s work, as he calls the shots for the

ludicrously-potent Trojan offense in Provo.
