Disappointing talk for Dominique Byrd reported in the L.A. Daily

Although USC coach Pete Carroll said Monday that tight end Dominique Byrd will take part in his first drills of the season this week, the junior

admitted he’s considered redshirting after missing the Trojans’ past 10 games.

Although, with Alex Holmes looking good thus far, perhaps this is better for Dominique, so he can save his eligibility for the starting role.
