Sorry–not trying to dwell on this one game, so we’ll move on to talk of this week’s game after this….thoughts on the Trojans defense against the Sun

The Trojan defense, led by defensive lineman Shaun Cody, Butkus Award finalist Matt Grootegoed, and last week’s Bronco Nagurski national defensive player of the week, Mike Patterson, had so many bright spots that they could light the Coliseum field on an autumn night.

We’re just glad that the DT exercised some discretion and stopped there, rather than go all the way with a ‘the defense was so bright we had to wear shades’

call. After all, we’ve got to save something for the remaining 6 games, right?
