Sure, the Trojans may have one game to win before they secure a berth in the 2005 Orange Bowl; but naturally, that isn’t stopping fans from thinking
ahead.
One such fan is already soliciting corporate sponsorship on eBay for the
anticipated trip to Miami for this year’s BCS championship game:
You are bidding on the opportunity to buy corporate sponsorship or any other form of advertisement you prefer, on my trip to the 2005 FedEx
Orange Bowl in Miami, FL.
I will be traveling from Columbus, OH to Miami, FL between Monday, January 3, 2005 and Wednesday, January 5, 2005.
The exposure includes stops at two major airports – CMH (Columbus) and FLL (Ft. Lauderdale) – plus exposure at the 2005 BCS Championship Game as well as at my hotel and the restaurants I eat
at!
I will wear all your company garb – shirt, hat, you name it. I will
also have a rental car for the duration – I will decorate the car w/
magnets, etc. – your choice.
We here at TrojanWire applaud the attempt to tap into deep corporate pockets to secure a free trip to Miami; but if you don’t mind, we’d rather not look
past this week’s game against UCLA. Not so much b/c we’re worried about the Bruins–it’s just that (and we
say this speaking from experience) as sweet as National Championships are, they can’t touch the magical feeling of stomping on our crosstown rival’s baby
blue.
