The Phi Delt house has been abandoned, surrounded by barbwire since the fraternity was kicked off campus in 2003–so nobody was hurt. But the overnight

blaze required the aid of 125 firefighters.

Phi Delt was home to several USC football players of years past: Mike Salmon, Grant Pearsall, John Himebauch, Mark Matock, Jeff Diltz, and most recently

Sonny Byrd.

TrojanWire will post additional photos and details about the fire (and the aftermath) as they become available.
