Defending champs usually remain pretty aloof, but on Aug. 21, the
public gets the opportunity to rub elbows with the two-time national
champion USC Trojans football team at the Coliseum. At 11 a.m., the
squad arrives for the traditional Trojan Walk through the crowd outside
the east end of the

stadium, then marches through the peristyle and
into the locker room. At 1 p.m. there will be warm-ups on the field and
then a scrimmage, free and open to fans. It’s a prelude to the team’s
Sept. 3 opener in Hawaii. At 3911 S. Figueroa St., (888) 876-9846.
