It’s scary to see sports columnists asking “what if you removed said player from said team” when considering the Heisman race. That kind of dangerous posturing gives bronze to the likes of Gino Torretta, Eric Crouch and Jason White.
The most telling quote comes from USC’s sports information czar, Tim Tessalone:
“Reggie Bush has never lost a game here and never wants to. You do those things, and it speaks volumes about your individual ability.”
