Virginia Tech has dismissed Marcus Vick from the team in response to the calf kick that Vick delivered to the left calf of Louisville All-American defensive end Elvis Dumervil during the Jan. 2 Gator Bowl.

Of course, Vick may get the last laugh–the junior QB is sure to declare for the pros now. We’ll have to wait and see if this episode costs Mr. Vick an NFL opportunity. Sadly, I doubt it will.

In fact, I’m putting my money on Marcus Vick wearing a Raider uniform in 2006.
