Prompted by last years greatest game ever, when about 300 private planes showed up for USC/ND, the South Bend airport is moving quickly to expand capacity before the Irish home opener against Penn State.

  2. Are you sure the airport expansion is to handle increased game traffic? I thought it was because Charlie Weis couldn’t fit through the old gates.

  3. I think the expansion is to handle all the expectations of Notre Dame football in 2006 and Charlie Weis’s food supply. Both of which will be probably be ravaged this year, especially on November 25th at the Coliseum.
