USC wide receiver Steve Smith said he plans to address his teammates about losing. Or specifically, how rare it’s occurred in his career.

“I wanted to call a meeting for the guys next week, losing doesn’t happen here,” Smith said. “I’ve been on some great historical teams and the young guys need to know this can be a great team. I’m going to talk to them and them together in a meeting before we leave for Arkansas.”

Smith has lost two games in his three seasons at USC and with so many freshmen, he wants to make sure everyone understands what is at stake next week when the Trojans open the season at Arkansas.
