Ron spent the week off pumpin’ the guns and hanging with Merlin Olsen. All signs indicate that Papa Burgundy is rested and ready for some Beav.

2.) Cal

Got brought back down to earth a little bit with an OT win vs. an Isaiah Stanback-less U-Dub.

3.) Washington State

Look out world — Garth is hepped up on firewater and he’s on the loose.

4.) Oregon

Like we said last week, Ducks were thinking more about the Trojans than the Coug, and they paid the price.

5.) Washington

Can we say “gritty”? Yeah, that was a gritty performance on Saturday. Gotta love the hail mary — Carl Bonnell said “how’s that for firing a bow and arrow into a crowd on acid?”

6.) Oregon State

We’re just going to keep repeating the mantra — beware the feisty beaver.

7.) Arizona State

Fantana got back on track by banging the hell out of a slump buster from Palo Alto.

8.) UCLA

Another one of those gritty performances here. You’ve got moxie, kid.

9.) Arizona

Has beaten Stephen F. Austin, Stanford, and BYU this year; it’s a safe bet Champ’s going to be at #9, barring a major upset whammy.
