jerry_buss_paris_hilton.jpgUSC alumnus, the creator of Showtime, Mr. Jerry Buss was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

He came down the street in a parade, preceded by the greatest marching band in the world, the USC Marching Band.

Two celebrities often linked to USC, Snoop Dogg and Paris Hilton were on hand for the tribute. A Laker fan with enough pull to have a couple championship rings, reached over the hotel heiress to lend one to Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, who then took Paris’ hand and began to slip it on her finger…

The Los Angeles Lakers open their 2006-07 season at home against the Phoenix Suns tonight. Anyone think that Phil, Kobe and Lamar can steal a little bit of sports thunder from USC football this year?
