USC Scheduling Notes: 2007 and Beyond

There’s a few news items about future football schedules that I thought y’all might find interesting:

* So that Idaho game sits on the USC schedule next Labor Day weekend like a BCS-buster. Word is that the Vandals want to exercise an escape clause or otherwise get-out-of-jail-free and that the Trojans would take on Miami–the Hurricanes, not the Dolphins. That’d be sweet, but nothing has been confirmed.

* The official website is asking readers: “USC Football has the opportunity to play the game at Arizona State on Thanksgiving Day, November 22, 2007. Before we make this scheduling change, we would like to get your feedback. Would you be in favor of the USC Football team playing this game on Thanksgiving Day?” I’d say that s great, as long as they move the November 24 game against UCLA back a week.

* Finally, USC and Syracuse are talking about home-and-away series in football and basketball at some point to be determined in the future.
