According to Kevin Scarbinsky (boo! hiss!), Saban is looking to steal Louisiana’s Mr. Football away from LSU and Southern Cal. And since it’s Scarbinsky, there’s plenty of hyperbole to go around:
If it happens, it’ll be an upset of staggering proportions.
If he pulls this off, it’ll be bigger than taking down Auburn on the field next season in his first Iron Bowl.
If Nick Saban signs Joe McKnight, it’ll be the biggest victory of his first year as the Alabama head coach.
And it’ll send bigger shock waves through the college football world than Saban’s decision to return to the SEC West or his compensation.
If he pulls this off, can you imagine the websites LSU fans would put up then?
