As reported by the Associated Press, ex-Arkansas quarterback Mitch Mustain has officially enrolled in classes at USC. Mustain is the second disgruntled Razorback to leave Arkansas for Southern Cal this year. As a starter Mitch Mustain drew immense praise for going 8-0 before being quickly replaced by Arkansas QB Casey Dick. After being stripped from his starting position, Mustain sat on the bench for much of the rest of the season. Big mistake. Now he’s a Trojan with a chip on his shoulder. And after he sits out the 2007 season due to NCAA transfer rules, Mustain will be raring to go.

Who will feel the heat most of all? Back up USC QB Sanchez. Mark Sanchez, who has been waiting patiently behind John David Booty for his shot to lead the Trojans on the field, now has his feet to the flame. For Sanchez the 2008 season has already began before 2007 even started. Because one thing is for certain: how Sanchez plays as Booty’s backup this year might just determine whether he’ll be on the field, or on the bench, come 2008.
