They’re calling it the bayou blues. Still, it’s been three months plus since signing day and the good ol’ folks from Louisiana have yet to stop whining. Recruit Joe McKnight is coming to USC. Sorry LSU. Now get over it.

If you’re still wondering what has got the whole state of Louisiana up in arms, then you obviously haven’t seen McKnight’s highlight reel. The 6’1″, 195-pound running back is scary good. While everyone equates him to Reggie Bush, McKnight is his own monster all together. He has incredible speed off the line and amazing field vision. He has ability to spot holes and is quite adept at lateral movement and change of direction. His balance is impressive, his breakaway speed is uncanny and he breaks tackles like a guy twice his size. Top it off with a receiver’s set of hands and McKnight stands to pose as a serious threat on the Trojan offense; a threat LSU may be afraid to face in future championship games.
