USC defensive tackle Chris Barrett is out, reports Daily News sports writer Scott Wolf. The four year veteran had a career 20 tackles with the Trojans, much of his time however he spent side-lined with injuries. But it is now his academic injury that has put Barrett out completely, as he did not pass enough of his classes to satisfy NCAA minimum grade requirements.
“He is the only casualty of the thing,” USC coach Pete Carroll said. “He did not make it.” – Daily News
