Get ready to bend it like…Bush? That’s right. American Football star Reggie Bush and Britain’s soccer star David Beckham mixed it up in Madrid Spain, switching uniforms and “footballs” for the day. The freaky Friday of football was part of a new Adidas campaign called “Futbol meets Football.”

Okay, so it wasn’t exactly like the picture above. But Bush did ease Beckham into his upcoming American debut teaching him ins and outs of America’s favorite sport. The best of the best at their respected games, Beckham and Bush wandered outside of their comfort zones to try a hand at football from the other side. As according to Soccerway.com:

Beckham donned an NFL Saints uniform, number 23 of course, and ran pass patterns with Bush guarding him, spiking the NFL ball after a touchdown catch. He also punted and attempted long field goals with Bush serving as holder.

“Since I signed with the Galaxy, I’m trying to get myself to say soccer because I’ve always said football,” Beckham said.

Bush traded his pads for shorts, soccer shoes and shin pads and tried bending balls like Beckham on free kicks in the meeting arranged by shoemaker adidas. He also played goalkeeper as Beckham fired short-range penalty kicks.

What will Adidas think of next? Figure skater Michelle Kwan & disgraced MMA fighter Johnnie Morton go head to head in the ring?

Okay…maybe that’s going too far.

But I would pay to see it.

And I’d bet on Kwan.
