Daniel is currently rated the #5 OG on Rivals.com and #12 OG on Scout.com.  Apparently Daniel had a fantastic time on his visit to campus for the Rising Stars Camp, which is slightly odd considering his underwhelming performance.  Here’s what Garry Paskwietz over at WeAreSC.com had to say about the performance:

Campbell had a solid afternoon in limited
action on Thursday but on Friday he didn’t do much to show himself as
one of the top linemen in the nation. After he took the big hit from
Armstead it would have been nice to see him come back with some
increased intensity later in the drill but it didn’t happen. He looked
a little top heavy at times but the good news is that he has quick feet
and that is all important for an offensive lineman.

That’s the truth.  Daniel has the raw ability to be a dominant lineman, he just needs to work on his technique and work ethic.  Should be no problem for our coaching staff.
