Richard Billingsley of the College Football Research Center has a nice list of the all-time top programs in major college football. (His methodology is described here.) Apparently the Trojans’ performance last year, while obviously disappointing in some* ways,† at least allowed us to leapfrog Texas into the #5 spot.
