That’s USC’s bullish 230-pound sophomore tailback Allen Bradford at right giving the stiff arm of the year to 270-pound freshman defensive end Everson Griffen during the Trojan’s first workout Monday.
USC coach Pete Carroll has been lapping some serious praise this summer upon his highly touted defensive end recruit. It makes sense as the kid is a 270-pound menace who is used to leaping defenders in a single bound when moonlighting as a tailback. However, Bradford got the best of him here.
Great photo, and just another reminder that college football is back and the competition is running high from the most lightly regarded programs all the way up to preseason #1 USC.
