USC broke out the shotgun in practice today with a fumble on the opening snap but after that, offensive coordinator Steve Sarkisian was pleased.
“I thought it was productive in third-and-long (situations),” Sarkisian said.
Perhaps as long as the pass doesn’t get tipped, the shotgun should be considered productive.
