Kris O’Dowd will get plenty of time Saturday to prove he belongs on the first unit at USC.
And as hard as it should be to play center as a true freshman, maybe the single hardest jump to make from high school, don’t be surprised if thr 6-5, 300-pounder can pull it off.
If he does, look for Jeff Byers to go back to guard and Matt Spanos, on his return from a torn right triceps, becoming the all-purpose USC offensive lineman who can play all three, or five, spots from tackle to tackle.
