Former USC pitcher Ian Kennedy will become the 95th Trojan to appear in the major leagues when he starts Saturday for the New York Yankees against the Tampa Bay Devil Rays.

Kennedy, who will be starting in place of the ineffective Mike Mussina, ranks among the best pitchers ever to play at Dedeaux Field.
