The more you see Mitch Mustain, USC’s QB transfer from Arkansas, run the service team against the first team defense, you come to two conclusions.
1) What were the Arkansas coaches thinkiing, letting Mustain go and not starting him after he went 8-0 as a true freshman in the SEC?
and 2) How good will the spring head-to-head battle be between Mustain and Mark Sanchez?
And in preparation for that, you almost wonder if it isn’t better for Mustain to be running the service team against the No. 1 and No. 2 defenses with Head Coach Pete Carroll hands-on in the huddle with him every day than to be Sanchez and the backup guy with the second-team offense.
