The USC football team is about to get a facelift. Plans are being developed for a state-of-the-art extension to Heritage Hall that will benefit the football team and other USC sports, athletic department administrators officially announced today. “We’re beyond excited for what this will offer the program and the university,” Coach Pete Carroll said. “The administration’s vision is tremendous to undertake something this big and this special.” Fundraising and programming are the first steps for the yet-to-be-named addition, and then construction can begin. Unofficial estimates predict completion to be in late 2009 or early 2010. The crown jewel of the extension will be a 25,000-square-foot weight room, which is more than double the current size.
