While much of Southern California burned, the USC Trojans were lighting a fire up in South Bend, Indiana. Mark Sanchez was throwing touchdown strikes like lighting, Vidal Hazelton was smoking Notre Dame’s defense and Joe McKnight was burning up the field.

In honor of the Trojan-Irish highlight video and former Irish Basketball Coach Richard “Digger” Phelps’ now famous quote:

“My name’s Digger. I’m the undertaker’s son. We ain’t dead yet!”

I thought the following clip from the boys of Monty Python would be more than appropriate. I would say there’s strong similarities here.
