After spending two months in prison stemming from his August drug-related arrest in Newport Beach, ex-USC quarterback Todd Marinovich pleaded guilty this Halloween to the drug charges brought against him, including felony possession, possession of a hypodermic needle and resisting arrest.

Marinovich, nicknamed Marijuanovich for his troubles with substance abuse, was a hot prospect, first-round draft pick in 1991. But his pro-career was plagued with disappointment, abuses and run-ins with the law. Now the only recognition Marinovich frequently gets, is when his name ends up on police reports or on the short-list for “Biggest First-Round Busts”.

As reported by the AP, Marinovich was sentenced to five years probation and one year at a drug treatment center in Laguna Beach. Hopefully that little rascal will keep out of trouble this time, being that this was his sixth drug-related arrest. You know what they say…seventh time’s a charm.
