…as well as an All-American.  Doug Gottlieb also picks Mayo as an All-American.  If I had to choose five it would be:

Tyler Hansbrough (UNC)
Roy Hibbert (Georgetown)
O.J. Mayo (USC)
Derrick Rose (Memphis)
Chris Lofton (Tennessee)

Tyler and Roy are the most dominant big men in the country so those are easy picks.  I really think O.J. is going to average 21+ points this year and lead a SC team that will finish in the top 20 (impressive when you consider our schedule), which makes him a lock for All-American and a solid candidate for POY.  You HAVE to pick someone from Memphis because they’re going to torch Conference-USA and be in the top 5 all-season long, which means it comes down to Chris Douglas-Roberts or Derrick Rose; I’m going against the experts and picking Rose cause he’s going to destroy C-USA guards and be the driving force of the team by the end of the season.  Then lastly you have Chris Lofton, who will put up big numbers on a top 10 team in UT, but I’m not a fan of his game so I’ll just leave it at that…

Let me add that I believe Kevin Love should be on that list, but I think he’ll be snubbed for one reason or another.  I’m betting that he’ll be UCLA’s MVP over Collison.  Way too smart of a player to disappoint…
