Orphaned sculpture finds home at USC

On what used to be the bare south lawn in front of Watt Hall sat a granite bench, a towering sculpture of a human figure, an upside-down cone and an enormous metal sphere wrapped up in a neat bow.

The four-piece sculpture, “Untitled Four,” by Los Angeles artist Mark Lere, was officially installed in a ribbon-cutting ceremony Tuesday.
