Davon Jefferson was never the heavily hyped recruit that fellow freshman O.J. Mayo was.

He wasn’t featured in magazines when he was in seventh grade like Mayo, and he certainly didn’t get dubbed as USC’s basketball savior.

As Mayo might still prove to be the savior, Jefferson has already proven to be the X-factor.
