The Trojan women’s soccer team keeps raising the bar, beating West Virginia 1-0 on Friday night to claim a spot in the final four. Now the only thing standing between USC and a berth in the national title game is cross-town rival UCLA. As fate would have it, a week after the Trojan football-team beat the Bruins to clinch the Pac-10 title, the women of Troy must face the Bruins again with national title hopes on the line.
As reported on the Daily Trojan, USC coach Ali Khosroshahin had this to say:
“This team was a sleeping giant waiting to be awoken, and I think it is awake now,”
It’s awake now…and its kicking balls.
