In somewhat of an upset, Fred Davis edged out Missouri’s Marvin Rucker and Wisconsin’s Travis Beckum (both had more receptions and both were named Walter Camp All-Americans).

Big Fred, who writes “I (heart) Jesus” on his black eye strips, lead the Trojans in 2007 with 55 receptions for 794 yards and 7 touchdowns.

His 110 career catches is a record for USC tight ends.
