A little appreciation is in order. No, more than that. Maybe that’s part of the problem. Why it somehow feels incomplete. USC is given applause, if politely. If somewhat restrained. The hands clap together as almost required, yet there is the unspoken message of: We could be doing this so much more enthusiastically if only USC was playing for another national title. It almost seems lost, just what USC has accomplished. What a historic run this is. What a special time. USC has won a record six consecutive Pacific-10 Conference championships.
