Former Coach Larry Smith Dies

Larry Smith, USC’s head football coach from 1987-1992, has died after a long battle with leukemia. At USC, his teams won three consecutive Pacific Ten Conference titles from 1987-1989, and won the 1990 Rose Bowl over Michigan. Smith went on to coach at Tulane, Arizona and Missouri. He was 68 years old.
