Carroll met with Redskins

I’m getting a little tired of reporting all of the NFL teams that are trying to woo Pete Carroll back into the league, he’s a man in high demand and doesn’t seem to have a problem meeting with anybody. But this one was a little different. Not because of the outcome, worry not Trojan fans — looks like Pete’s sticking around for another season, but because of the sheer amount of hours involved. ESPN is reporting that Carroll met with Redskins owner Daniel Snyder for nine hours!

Carroll was comfortable with the Redskins front office structure and much of the coaching staff…but the former New York Jets and New England Patriots coach decided to remain in the college ranks.

So basically Carroll said, “Thanks for buying breakfast, lunch and dinner. But it’s not for me.” The man will do anything for a good free meal.
