National Signing Day has finally arrived. At first things looked dismal for Pete Carroll’s Trojans, as Central Arkansas Christian running back/wide receiver Joe Adams withdrew his verbal commitment from USC, and instead decided to sign with Arkansas. But things quickly picked up momentum, as the Trojans snagged a recruiting surprise. Four-star defensive end Nick Perry from Martin Luther King High school, Michigan, has chosen USC over both Miami and Michigan. As reported on WVsports.com, Perry had this to say of his decision.
“I had a lot of good options, but I picked the one that was best for me and that is USC,” said Perry. “They have so many good players, and I want to be a part of that.”
Scout lists the speedy 6-4/240 pound Perry as #1 at his position. Rivals has him at #2. Either way, with Miami and Michigan both leading USC in the recruiting rankings, Perry’s decision will give the Trojans a much sought after boost.
