Brady Quinn Denies Gay-Bashing

What’s ex-Notre Dame quarterback Brady Quinn been doing since signing with the Browns? The obvious answer: not much. Quinn only played in a single game as a rookie. But its not his game that we’re here to talk about, it’s rather what Quinn’s reportedly doing off the field that’s drawing all the attention. As reported on SI.com, Quinn was allegedly involved in an altercation early New Years eve.

A man by the name of Seth Harris made this call to 911 dispatchers early New Year’s morning:

“There’s a group of football players, Brady Quinn from the Browns … and he’s trying to cause a fight…His friends are yelling at all of the gay people that are around here.”

Quinn and representatives from his team have vehemently denied the comments. Brady has gone a step further and claimed that he at no time had any “verbal or physical altercation, nor…any interaction with the police.” The Columbus police, however, tell a different story. The police claim that Quinn was in fact at the scene, and furthermore he was arguing with a man upon their arrival. The content of their argument was unknown.

Perhaps Quinn was involved in some verbal gay-bashing. Or perhaps he’s telling the truth and the men are just trying to defame his good name. Personally, I’m willing to give Brady the benefit of the doubt. I mean does this look like a man that would discriminate based on sexual orientation to you?
