Mike Patterson, the Philadelphia Eagles’ starting defensive tackle and former first round draft pick out of USC, was arrested Saturday night. Patterson was charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana. Also in the car was Patterson’s older brother, Tyrone, who had several outstanding warrants and, to exacerbate the situation, resisted arrest. Now Mike Patterson may face disciplinary action from the league, in accordance with the stricter conduct policies instated last year.

Police say they approached their car as it was parked on the side of the road, smelling burnt marijuana. It was not mentioned, however, whether the pair did in fact ever made it to White Castle…
