Freshman star O.J Mayo was named the U.S. Bank, Pac-10 Men’s Basketball Player of the Week, according to the Pacific-10 conference official website.
…In the win vs. Oregon, Mayo helped lead USC back from a 15-point first-half deficit and 13-point second-half deficit by tallying 32 points…Against Oregon State, Mayo scored 21 points in 25 minutes and made his way into the records books by becoming USC’s all-time freshman record holder for three-pointers in a season when he hit four vs. OSU to give him 66 for the year…
Mayo averaged 26.5 ppg, 3.5 rpg, 2.0 assists, and 3.0 steals this past week to earn him the weekly award.
