7th round pick Oscar Lua looked like the feel-good story of the 2007 draft. After leading USC in tackles in 2005 and making significant contributions as a Senior in 2006, Lua was picked up in the 7th round by the power-house Patriots. Lua quickly set himself apart, proving himself in practice and on the field in the early exposition games. That is until he violated rule #1 of the 2007 pre-season: Don’t get injured! In his final pre-season match, Lua injured his knee and was placed on IR.
Yesterday Oscar Lua was cut from the Patriots along with Veteran Linebacker Rosevelt Colvin.
