He’s been locking up 100+ tackle seasons since his rookie year, and been a 3x pro bowl selection ever since he transitioned into the Pros in 2005. Now job security is a non-issue for Seattle middle linebacker Lofa Tatupu, who just signed a six-year extension with the Seahawks that will have him playing with the franchise until 2015. As Rotoworld is reporting, it was a mere $42 million with $16 million guaranteed. Not too shabby a sum.

While Tatupu’s stock was underestimated by many scouts going into the 2005 draft, the Seahawks realized his potential and traded up to snag him in the second round. Now it’s clear getting Tatupu as second round pick was a steal.
