Yes, these girls can really dance. Founded by USC students Lisha Bell, Maya Mitchell and Amanda Hall, the USC Fly Girls were started in 1998 in order to fill a need for dance representative of African American culture. But what started off as a hip-hop group evolved with complex routines and choreography that included fusions of jazz, lyrical and modern styles. They last performed at USC Springfest 2008, but are also known to perform at various competitions and USC functions including the Trojan Black Alumni Association tailgates.

I know. It’s unfair. Your cheerleaders look like a foot while USC gets incredible Song Girls and amazing Fly Girls. But hey, at least there’s Trojanwire to help share the hot Trojan-wealth with the rest of the world.
