I learned about the term “Tweetup” in the newspaper this morning and almost puked up my scrambled eggs. Can we just go back to Web 1.0 for a while? Web 2.0 is just getting obnoxious.

Seriously.

Since we know a return to Web 1.0 isn’t happening anywhere outside of a Valley Renaissance Faire, I’ve got a better solution:

We should start immediately re-appropriating Web 2.0 lingo to rob it of any attempted meaning.  In fact, Ricky provides an ideal sample template to get started with: Tweetup is a perfect substitute for the “almost puked / I just threw up in my mouth” phrasing.

For example:

I learned about the term “Mozvox” in the newspaper this morning and had to tweetup.

Just ask Rick Santorum – it can work.  And if we hijack the Googles, we can take the word back (or send it to a fiery grave).
