Say what you will about the now-infamous North Carolina parachuter who landed on the wrong field Saturday — at least he executed the landing, nobody got hurt, and the several dozen diehards, ironic teenage hipsters and masochists at the Duke-James Madison game had a pleasant surprise (we hear the security guards loved it). Better to land successfully on the wrong field than botch the landing altogether, as a certain Nippert Stadium jumper did before Cincinnati’s scrimmage with Eastern Kentucky last Thursday, further proof that nobody cares about other people jumping out of airplanes until something goes terribly wrong:
If you’re wondering, he got caught in the wire holding up the field goal netting. Fan Man thinks this is weak.
