Two D-line injury notes from Tuesday’s USC practice:

** Defensive end Everson Griffen returned to practice after sitting out Monday because of a toe injury.

** Nose tackle Averell Spicer is unlikely to play against Washington because of a sprained ankle, USC coach Pete Carroll said.
