I had a lengthy sit-down the other day with USC middle linebacker Rey Maualuga on a bench outside Heritage Hall. His aunt, uncle and little cousins were nearby, but he spent about 10 minutes talking to me about his life, including his off-the-field incidents and his father’s death.
