Standout Trojan sprinter and state record holder Bryshon Nellum was shot three-times late Halloween night, after leaving a restaurant on Vermont Ave. near Adams Boulevard. LA Times reports that the gunman shouted possible gang slogans before opening fire. Nellum, dubbed “the fastest kid in the world”, underwent successful surgery at California Hospital Medical Center, and is currently in stable condition. The assailants are still at large.
