Pete Carroll gives a lot of pep talks, but it’s not every day that one of the game’s premier motivators gets a room full of high school students fired up — except when they take a recruiting visit.
In this three-minute clip, shot by high school guru Eric Sondheimer, USC’s head coach addresses players and coaches from the 26 teams getting ready for the Southern Section playoffs.
Carroll will have to pump up his own players for the Rose Bowl against Penn State on Jan. 1. He addresses it in the video:
"Every game is unique. Every game is special. You’ll hear people talk about us going to the Rose Bowl thinking like that’s old hat. That couldn’t be further from the truth. We’re so fired up to be part of this thing. It’s just like it’s a brand new opportunity all over again."
