Now that the list of underclassmen entering the NFL draft has been finalized, who made the right call and who goofed? Lance Zierlein of the Houston Chronicle breaks it down, and here is what he writes about the four quarterbacks:

USC’s Mark Sanchez: “Pete Carroll may have a huge problem with Sanchez coming out, but it is a good one when you consider what a relatively weak QB draft this is. Sanchez’s intelligence will help him adapt more quickly and the payday should be a good one. Either he’s going to be an NFL QB or he’s not. I’m not sure another year with a loaded team vs. subpar defenses was going to get him ready for the NFL.”

Tim Tebow, Florida: “While it typically benefits most QBs to stay in, Tebow has nothing to prove on the collegiate level — except whether or not he can improve as a passer. That is what he will get a chance to show NFL scouts next season. Tebow would not have been a first-round pick this year.”

Josh Freeman, Kansas State: “What are you thinking, Josh? You have the size and arm strength that NFL teams would salivate over if you could just put together a big year on the collegiate level. Why not go back and improve on your numbers and then become the hot name in the 2010 draft?”

Sam Bradford, Oklahoma: “I say this is a bad decision, but as long as he plays well next year, he’ll be a top 3 pick next season. The problem is that he is losing almost his entire offensive line as well as two of his top targets. Injury is the only real concern for me here, but he probably would have been a top 3 pick this season and maybe the top pick.”
